Why Choose Us

Why Choose Our Specialized Termite Control in Lewiston, ME

Professional Termite Control technician working in Lewiston, ME

Licensed Termite Inspectors

Our inspectors hold state wood-destroying organism (WDO) licensing and produce documentation accepted for real estate transactions.

Rapid Scheduling for Active Infestations

When a Lewiston, ME customer reports a swarm or visible mud tubes, we move that inspection ahead of routine requests.

Transparent Treatment Pricing

You'll see the full cost of liquid termiticide or bait station installation before we start — priced by linear foot of foundation, not guesswork.

Professional-Grade Treatment Systems

Our equipment includes borate wood treatments, termiticide injection rods, and monitoring stations for long-term colony elimination. Beyond the treatment itself, you'll get a documented moisture assessment, since damp foundation zones are usually the first areas termites return to.

Service Solutions

Termite Control in Lewiston, ME: Comprehensive Solutions

Subterranean Termite Barrier Treatment

We trench and treat the full foundation line so worker termites carry the termiticide back to the colony itself.

In-Ground Bait Station Systems

Monitoring stations placed at intervals around the structure, checked on a schedule to intercept colonies before they reach the building.

Drywood Termite Spot & Structural Treatment

Drywood colonies live inside the wood itself, so treatment targets the specific members showing frass or kick-out holes.

WDO Inspection Reports for Real Estate

We provide official wood-destroying organism reports that satisfy real estate closing and refinance requirements.

Termite Damage Assessment & Repair Referral

Beyond treatment, we assess joist, sill plate, and subfloor damage so you know the full scope before repairs begin.

Pre-Construction & New Build Soil Treatment

We treat soil and foundation footings pre-pour so new builds start with a termite barrier already in place. Every crew also carries backup moisture meters, since accurate readings are what separate a real diagnosis from a guess.

FAQ

Termite Control Questions From Lewiston Customers

Trusted Termite Control service in Lewiston, ME - Nex Pest Control

Subterranean termites live in soil and travel via mud tubes into structures; drywood termites live entirely inside wood, requiring no soil contact.

Cost varies by foundation size and whether liquid barrier or bait stations are used; we quote in writing after seeing the property.

A wood-destroying organism report is commonly required for financing; we issue licensed reports formatted for that purpose.

Non-repellent liquid barriers typically carry a multi-year warranty period, with annual re-inspection recommended.

DIY treatments often scatter the colony instead of eliminating it, which complicates professional treatment down the line.

A swarm event signals the colony has matured enough to reproduce, which is often the first visible sign homeowners notice. We recommend a yearly check-in after initial treatment, since soil grading and mulch buildup around a foundation can change year to year.

The Lewiston area traces its roots to 1669 with the early presence of the Androscoggin tribe (the namesake of the county in which the city resides). In the late 18th century, in 1795, Lewiston was incorporated as Lewistown. The presence of the Androscoggin River and Lewistown Falls made the town an attractive area for manufacturing and hydro-power businesses. The rise of Boston rail and textile tycoon Benjamin Bates saw rapid economic growth rivaling that of Cambridge, Worcester, and Concord. Irish immigrants were recruited to build the railroad links and dig the canals for the textile mills. The Irish stayed, and worked the mills and established flourishing businesses, as evidenced by the McGillicuddy, Callahan, and other Blocks and the St.Joseph's and St.Patrick's churches. In the 1850 Census Lewiston was fully 23% Irish born. The increase in economic stimulus prompted thousands of Quebecers to migrate, causing a population boom; the populace rose from 1,801 in 1840 to 21,701 in 1890. In 1855, local preacher Oren Burbank Cheney founded the Maine State Seminary, the first coeducational university in New England and one of the first universities to admit black students before the Emancipation Proclamation. Lewistown quickly became associated with the liberal arts and was incorporated as "Lewiston" in 1864, a year before the college was chartered as Bates College.
